Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Today, the world remembers civil rights champion Martin Luther King Jr., the man who dedicated his life to improving the civil and human rights of African Americans and other communities in the United States.

MLK was assassinated in 1968. Decades later, the US Government designated the third Monday in January as a national Holiday.
